THE EVENT IS SERVES AS A FORUM FOR INFORMING AND GETTING TO KNOW SPECIALIZED AUDIENCES IN FINANCE AND BUSINESS.

On Friday morning, April 30, the first Xignux Day event was held, during which the company’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer discussed the operating performance of Xignux’s companies and its future plans.

The invitation-only event was transmitted via streaming, and was attended by Xignux CEO Juan Ignacio Garza Herrera, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer Ángel de Soto, and Chief Financing and Treasury Officer Fernando Sotomayor.

Among the data presented were a 29% growth in Xignux revenues in the first quarter of 2021 (1Q21), to MXN 19.03 billion. The company also reported operating income of MXN 1.14 billion in the quarter, a 96% increase over the same quarter of 2020 (on equal bases, excluding the accounting effect registered in 2020, booked under other income from revaluation of certain assets, for MXN 565 million).

EBITDA in 1Q21 totaled MXN 1.57 billion, a 55% year-over-year increase, excluding the above mentioned MXN 565 million mark-to-market gain in 1Q20.

According to information presented during the event, Xignux maintains a healthy level of leverage, with a net debt to EBITDA ratio of 1.6 times at the close of March.

The Finance team also commented that the first-quarter results were favored by economic recovery and increased activity in energy and food markets, both domestic and export, in which Xignux participates.

The outlook at the start of the year and the level of retail activity in recent months augur a good year for the organization.
